Hi Everybody,

Good news is that I had a follow up CT scan of the lung lesion and it looks smaller; about 2/3 the original size.  But, the lung and infectious disease specialist still feel I’m not quite out of the woods.  They want to see more clearing and scar formation before they’ll clear me for the transplant.  So, they recommend another CT scan in about 4 weeks.  This report is bitter sweet.  I’m grateful it isn’t worse and it looks like I’m on the road to recovery but I’m a little disappointed.  I seem to be stuck in the pre game event.  I’d like to get on with the main event, the bone marrow transplant.  It’s more waiting and I’ll just have to make peace with that.  It’ll happen but not till June at the earliest.

I generally feel good.  I have no pain and my energy is OK.  Still getting transfused with blood about every 2 weeks.   I love hearing from everybody and miss not working.  I must admit that it might be nice to work part time and not be as rushed,

take care and stay in contact

Congrats on the gremlin shrinking, rats to the postponed schedule. Maybe we should all send you suggestions for new hobbies to fill up your time. I suggest scrapbooking and cheese making.

    Ooh! Good idea…
I’ll add: facebooking, and practicing exercise #12 in the Taffanel & Gaubert Etude Book.

Seriously, though, if you need some excellent things to watch, that will suck you in and keep you watching, these are my favorite TV series of all time: SportsNight, Foyle’s War, My So-Called Life, The West Wing, and News Radio.

    hugs to you,

    Hi Jim,
You are so missed. I just know that you will be just fine. Are prayers are with you everyday and I know that God is going to do a miracle in you. You are an awsome person Jim and just know that you are loved and missed. Get better soon so you can come back to us. Oh yeah NCIS is a great program. By the way these doctors don’t even know how to count. I had to educate them. hahaha
